Why was the Revolutionary War so Important?
First, let's consider the impacts that resulted from this war. War is never inexpensive. The new nation had to pick up the pieces from the aftermath of the war. That meant rebuilding their economy and resources. They also had a lot of work to do in making this new nation successful. However, one of the long-term effects was the U.S. was now a free and independent nation. They had gained their own territory now. They could now create their own, new system of government and laws. This was a very important development in government that would soon impact the world. America's founding father's decided, unlike the monarchy they came from, to create a new government that would be fair to those under it. However, they were only able to do this, after they had won their independence from Britain.
These 13 states now could become united. What impacts resulted from this war? The war had impacted the mindset of those in America. Many new ideas were formed during this time-period, and would be formed afterword. Now that those in America had gained their independence, many others were determined to gain other things. Such as to abolish slavery, give voting rights to all, and equality. A sense of revolution had developed in the personality throughout many. The Revolutionary War played an important role in shaping the United States into what it is now.
